PIP vs universal credit

Hello everyone
my brother is in receipt of PIP, high mobility rate, which was converted into a lease of a car through Motability.
As he lives in a care home, I have been advised to apply on behalf of him for universal credit, as he needs to make contributions towards the cost of his care service. What is it going to happen to his PIP entitlement if I make this application? Thank you

    Hi,

PIP isn't part of Universal credit and his payments will continue. Universal credit is a means tested working age benefit.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
