    Recording assessments is quite the norm now. I think it stems from all the horror stories there has been over the years. It can give you piece of mind if you worry about something going on the assessors report that isn't true especially if you suffer from anxiety. It entirely personal choice. If you feel comfortable doing this then do. If you give the assessor plenty of info on your form and at the assessment then that should be OK. You will need to ask for this before your appointment as they won't oblige later.
