Carers Allowance

IF someone's PIP stops, does the carers money stop right away? I know that PIP is paid 4 weeks in arrears but I don't know anything about carers.
My money hasn't stop but I have an assessment tomorrow so I'm preparing myself and my son who is my carer, I know that might sound a bit negative but it's just how my brain works.

Welcome to the community @WF2k thank you for sharing this with us. How are you doing today and how did the assessment go?
From the 'What PIP means to Carers guide' it mentions:Carers will continue to receive their benefit provided they meet the qualifying conditions of Carer’s Allowance and the person they care for continues to receive the daily living component of PIP.
There is no automatic entitlement to PIP, even if the person you care for has an indefinite or lifetime award of DLA. If the person you care for does not claim, or does not qualify for the daily living component of PIP, then DLA will stop and your Carer’s Allowance will also be affected.

I'm sorry to hear this @WF2k , have been in touch with your GP?

No, I don't find them very helpful tbh, they try and shove me back onto meds and into things I've already tried to help myself mentally without checking my medical history.
