Hello I have just joined my name is Jackie.every username I tried was already in use so I used the cat scan name?
I have just applied for pip.I had my assessment last Thursday the lady that did the assessment was very nice she told me I would be awarded something but would need a review in 12 monthes as I am seeing a specialist and may improve I presume.
I have never claimed anything before just wondering what this all means.
Thank you

Hi @winnipeg and welcomeYou should now ask for a copy of the assessment report, this will give you an idea of your possible award. HCP's should not be telling you that you will be given an award or how long for, these decisions are made by the DWPBe all you can be, make every day count. Namaste

Thanks for the reply, who do I ask for the copy of my assessment?
A few people thought it was odd that I was told about being awarded something.

Hi @Winnipeg welcome to the community, I believe it will be from DWP. We have some information on PIP, that you may find useful.

Someone said that you cannot got the copy before you have had a letter from DWP telling you of your award. I only had my assessment last Thursday 4th April am I able to ring and ask for the assessments copy now? Thanks again for your help I feel as though I’m feels around in the dark. It’s a bit of a mine field.

If you live in Ireland then you need to wait for the letter, otherwise you can apply within a few days of your f2f
