Just received the original assessment report this morning, and well it's absolutely crazy.
The assessor has actually said the specialists report is inconsistent with her observations. She even contradicted herself saying that I look after her and dress/feed her and then says that she looks well kept and nourished so that means she can cook and look after herself unaided...doesn't consider that maybe she looks healthy and well kept is because I help her?!?!
I think this is going to be a fun process.

I know the DM is looking for it to be reworked, any chance anyone knows what's the chances the DM will completely ignore the assessors comments? -
@AhhBisto im in the same boat as you although i have not actually received my report i was told there were to many discrepencies on it so i am assuming that there is also wild assumptions on mine.

It does make me wonder how all of these assessors who are either nurses, paramedics, midwifes or physiotherapists would manage if they worked for the NHS? We would probably have more patients dying from incorrect/lack of treatment or care.

Hi @AhhBisto sorry to hear what has happened. Fingers crossed that you don't have to wait too much longer for an answer from the decision maker!Disability Gamechanger - 2019

The training the assessors receive is not very good, I am not sticking up for them, mine was a physiotherapist who was a nurse in the navy, her site claims she was running a sports physio group (seems closed now) her linkedin profile, has various attempts at being freelance sports physio, while they depend poor descriptions in F2F assessments and protest their assessors are highly trained, the truth is their not, and it seems if you fail at running your own business you can progress to DWP assessments.
About time someone took a good look at the assessment companies, due to the number appealing and then heading to tribunals I don't think they are giving good value for the money, they are working as intended by making such a co*k up, the DWP can rightly claim less people are claiming.

I totally agree with you and have said the same here many times, the people who hold your well being in their hands for the next year or 2 may well be a bad nurse, who cannot cut it in the NHS, they could be very hard working and very well versed in your particular problem, should they mark you down, because they "think you can" when you said you cant, there's not much you can do, there is no legal recourse, just complain to the assessment company and go up the complaints ladder, they should take into account your medical reports but in many cases they don't (read on here it's a common complaint) in my first assessment and my partner first one, neither of us had a musculoskeletal examination, however in both DM awards it was stated we did, even though the assessor did mark it as not done. Errors go all the way through the system.
