Please can anyone help.  My son has recently turned 21.  I have just found out he is talking to a girl in America who claims to be a model etc.  She has asked my son for Amazon vouchers etc.  He has done this before and we have tried to explain to him that these are not real people.  She has set up an Amazon account in his name and he is now withdrawing all his money from his bank account as he is worried ahe can get it.  He has said that hes not given out his address or bank details but I dont believe this.   He is believing everything she says and does not believe what we are telling him.  I just dont know where to turn.    I'm so scared he is going to get himself into trouble.

I'm absolutely petrified he is going to get himself in serious trouble.  He is very gullible and believes everything they tell him.  As I said he has done this before and we have talked about it and he has deleted the people involved.   I just dont know what to do.

Hello @shazray, do you have permission to speak to the bank on your son’s behalf? If so, please get in touch with them about this.

Hello @shazray.  Pleased to meet you .

Sorry to hear what has happened.

Please can I wish you well and hope some of the SCOPE team and one of my friends.@steve51 has advised you.

One point I can suggest many banks have text alerts .

This is in case they think unusual movements of debits or they think that certain debits and amounts specifically seem excessive.

Before they have the chance to go through.

To the account holder. Something they do. Is to contact the account holder. Had this myself.

Had to phone them and give security questions before payments went through.

Used debit card for shopping, suddenly got texts from my bank to call them . Told them what was happening.

    Having an account with them.

I think it is best for you to try to contact the bank.  Also you could made an appointee of your sons account.  Something to look at.

I think it is best to look at what options the banks can provide.

They want there customers happy as I know this from personal experience.

To give you reassurance I would speak to AMAZON.

    Would be advisable.

    To speak to them.

    Pleasure to meet you.

Keep in touch please let the community know the outcome be grateful.
