Hi mental health crisis team just turned up no call or nothing had an urgent referral from GP, they weren't here more  more than 20mins,first of all made CARL58 very anxious being strangers, didn't really speak to him, which I thought was rather ignorant,same twoddle we can see he' has severe issues,then the word but because it's a mixture of everything it's difficult to pin point where to start,we do understand no you don't was my answer,told them you live his life for just 24hrs what little life he has,I see passed it back to me,keep his medication regular which I do anyway your doing a grand job,I don't patronising want actual help.got zilch what a waste of time they actually are I'm fumming jen

    Not what Carl or you needed. I suspect that it is always going to fall on your shoulders as the person who knows him best. Your GP at least is trying to get something done, but should realise that unannounced visits from strangers will have a negative impact and any other referrals should be made aware of this.
    Yes you are doing a grand job but you do need specialist help. It may useful  to ring the Scope help line to actually talk to someone

    @CockneyRebel thank you friend,at the moment I've just had to have a good cry away from CARL58,it's not his fault it's the system.ill ring the GP in morning tell her,to upset to do it now take care jen

    @CockneyRebel Q dressing every he's in pyjamas there's a good reason reason which I won't go into,but I have on the form.but actually dressing for appointments outside the home I have  to nearly completely dress him,it takes nearly 3hrs from start to finish, because of chronic pain,we just have to keep stopping for 30 to 40 mins has to  keep laying flat on back because his osteoarthritis is bone on bone,no socket or cartlidge that's all gone,his left thigh is crumbling away , he's can't bend to use a long handle shoe horn as there not long or them stupid sock helper's, he gets upset cause he feels useless and is burden.i tell  him nicely your my burden & always give him hug, chronic pain is exhausting physically and mentally,& I dare any one to say different,after all that he's in chronic in the powerchair from leaving home till we get back,then that takes him 2 to 3 day's ,to get over because the Ball on the hip is out of line,and can't move it's not fun seeing him in pain Jen,

    Hi Jen

    All you can do is tell them how it is, you can add extra sheets to the back of the form and reference to them on the form. Any extra sheets must have Carls Name and NIN on

    @CockneyRebel thanks for info,Im just lost what to next, he's got no fight left, he's utterly exhausted with all this, I'll fight tooth & nail for him,I don't want him to go in home because he would give up totally he wouldn't last amth, plus he's only 60 doesn't have extra money or anything,and If council do it be miles away some grotty hole that I couldn't get to, I'm not going ask him anymore questions I'm going to fill the rest in,get him back to where he was before this form appeared,he will forget all about within a short time,take care jen

    Just fill the form in and get Carl to sign it, you are probably best placed to answer the questions without adding any more stress to Carl. With a strong supporting letter from his GP they may be able to do a paper assessment but cannot guarantee this

    @CockneyRebel that's what I'll do I can get finished add my penny worth,with GPS supporting letter,plus his input about his history how became ill and circumstances why,if that's not enough,then we've only blood and organs left to give them.my mum delayed from Canada she will be here middle night.that Will me & CARL58,not seen her for 5yrs,she knows him but he won't remember her,but she was good with him last time might be abit awkward at first,but with her nursing background will be helpful,I know she's offered in past to go back to Canada take him with me,but he'd have no money, insurance,be very strange for him, if that's what's needed where would he be better looked after,be alot of red tape to get past she would do all that,so see if she mentions it again, because he'd clean air lovely scenery, good home cooking,he adores animals, we have plenty of them, he'd feel like a lord,own granny flat on side of house,pass the rest of his day's in ☮️ something to think about, see if she brings the topic up again take care jen
