Hi all, I've got a question, does anyone know anything about a tribunal representation company called benefitappeals.co.uk and the guy I spoke to there said he would represent me for my PIP Appeal this coming Friday 3rd May, for a charge of £400.
He himself will not be doing the representation, he has referred me to a Barrister. I want to be sure I'm using bona fide people, does anyone have any experience with them, or know anything about them, I welcome all you have to share. Thank you.

Never heard of the organisation nor of that Barrister.
What are you expecting for your £400?
The only person that the Tribunal will want to hear from is you, the claimant.
If it was important or a necessity to have such legal representation, I could surround myself with two solicitors AND a barrister at no cost due to family connections/members! I know that it would not make a penny difference to the hearing so would not want to waste their valuable time.

I would be extremely cautious of paying for representation. The statistics for this company seem to show a very high rate of success but this is more than likely to be due to cherry picking cases that are " cut and dried ".No representative can know how your condition affects you better than you do, you are your best representative. The success rate for claimants that attend the tribunal hearing is around 70%, very few have representativesBe all you can be, make every day count. Namaste

Seems that that similar advice still exists. If you want peak performance that is.

I agree with everyone on here who've said I am my best representative, also two of my friends and my support worker will be going with me for that emotional support. Furthermore, C.A.B gave me the number of a very good company called PSU Helpline, I've spoken to them, and they will support me in writing up notes on all the points I want to use for my reasons why believe I should be awarded PIP. thepsu.org/ I'm meeting with them and my support worker later this week, either way I'm covered. Feeling much better about this. Your right everyone, I don't need to pay an enormous amount of money to someone who might not even turn up on the day. £400 is a lot of money.

Great news that you have your team to support, as has already been explain, you are the expert on your disabilities.
The main questions will likely come from the medical member.
From what other people report it’s usually over in 20 minutes or so and they might tell you the outcome on the day.
