ESA appeal processing

Does anyone know what happens after a successful ESA appeal

Do you return to the same claim you were on or is it a new claim?

It's not a new claim. Any backdated money owed takes about 8 weeks to receive.

It very much depends on the type of appeal. For example a failure to attend appeal win just returns you back to the point where you failed to attend. Equally if you failed to get fit notes for the period leading up to your hearing you could well be looking at a new claim. An ESA overpayment appeal would be different again.

There’s insufficient information in the original post for anyone to be able to provide an answer.

Please provide some more information. What type of appeal is it? How long have you been appealing for? What is the reason you want to contest the decision? Have you contacted DWP or not? Until you have updated the original post with more details about your claim I’m unable to give you a decent answer.
