Hi,Yes the Carers premium is paid for each person that claims carers allowance. However, if they are claiming carers allowance for each other and no other adults are living in the house then i'd advise speaking to an advice centre near them for a benefits check. It maybe better for them to claim couples rate Severe disability premium in with the ESA instead of carers allowance.0

No problem. Just to add, if you claim child benefit for your son then you will still be entitled to claim the SDP. As i don't know all your details, i thought it was worth mentioning this.
