Lanlord went for holiday in irland

Hello every one...
I just applyyed for uc and got appointment on monday to prove my identity..
Now now i got house agreement for one year but my lanlord is moved in irland him just comes to visit his brothers so he dont have adress in here what should i say to job centre him is on irland? He has uk mobile number active there if they need to call him or anything.. Will they accept it and pay me housing

    Hello @Weirdworld so long as you have a tenancy agreement which you can bring along to the meeting, it shouldn’t be a problem.

    Hi,

    Your other post says you've claimed SDP in with your ESA. If this is correct, then you won't be able to claim UC. You can claim housing benefit for your rent, even if you've moved to a different local council.

    Thanks @poppy123456, I hadn't spotted the other thread.

    @Weirdworld, because you're in receipt of SDP, they should flag this and cancel your UC claim. Poppy is correct in that you need to apply for Housing Benefit from your local council. You could give the SDP helpline a call on 0800 181 4049 (0800 012 1331 if you're in NI) and they'll be able to advise you about what your next steps should be.
