We won the appeal. with flying colors.

lower rate mobility and higher rate daily-living.

My friend broke in tears bless him.

He cant drive though because of his hand.

Does that mean he will also receive back payments of mobility also.

Thank you for any reply's.

Great news. Backdated money will be owed from the date his last PIP stopped, which will include the mobility part. Payment can take 8 weeks.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Do we have to inform the PIP about the result. or will they just automatically make the payments.

When should we expect to hear from PIP DWP

    thank you.

No problem. No, HMCTS will have already done that.

As advised it can take 8 weeks to receive money owed. This is because DWP have the same chance we do to appeal the decision. To do this they must first ask for the statement of reasons and they have 1 month to request this. Once they receive it they must find an error in law. They sometimes request the statement of reasons but it doesn't mean they are appealing. If they do request it they will write to your friend to tell him.
