I am 26 years old and looking for a job in vehicle maintenance with extra support and am finding it very difficult to find a position
I attended a skills centre and have achieved NVQ levels 1+ 2 in vehicle maintenance and am in Hounslow West London
If anyone could help me with advice or any information I would be very grateful
Many thanks
Joshua

Hi @joshp how are you doing today?
You may want to check your local job centre, local car garages, or your skills centre may have some suggestions.
We have some information on work and career. You may also be interested in our Support to Work employment support programme

Hi, @joshp welcome,
First, make sure you have Jobcentre aware of your situation under the disability section. The website for your line of work www.totaljobs.com This is a national works disabled company good luck.

Hello @joshp welcome to the community. I’m going to tag Scopes CP advisor @Richard_Scope to see if he can assist you as well. I have CP myself and know how difficult the job search can be.

Hi @joshp, I'm going to tag @mwila_scope in from our Support to Work programme, as hopefully they'll be able to point you in the right direction.Community Manager

Hiyaaa, you can check universal job match online and they have a filter that allows you to choose disability confident employers. But whatever you apply for make sure it’s something you feel like you may be able to do xxx good luck!!

Have you talked to a employability specialist or not? I would also stop by the shops to see if they are hiring. The Internet is a gold mine for information on jobs and interviews too.
Additionally you can find work by networking and checking the local paper as well. Another good way of finding a job is to spend time researching the company properly.
Check the website for information on current vacancies. Have you heard of the Movement into Work program for disabled people? -
