Hi all
Anyone in Kensington & Chelsea waiting for their PIP Appeal date? Today I received DWP’s counter claim papers, just wondering if that means the Appeal date is looming or not?!

Thank you so much!

Receiving these papers is only the start you could be waiting up to a year in some areas best to ring the court and ask what the timescale is at present
-
Thank you for your quick reply. I just rang the Court and they told me will be in next few months (they have up to 27 weeks.) Was terrified it will be before February as I’m booked to go away. Fingers n toes crossed, I’ll be back in time, if takes long time to process and offfer Tribunal hearing date.

Hi again,
I’ve since signed off Benefits but have a PIP Tribunal set for this month. Does anyone know if the Tribunal will still go ahead? -
It only ceases if you withdraw or DWP refuse their decision in your favour beforehand.
-
Hi @LoopyLoo2, as Mike said, it'll only not go ahead if you withdraw.
PIP is not means-tested so you can be in receipt of this and still work/not claim income-related benefits, and even if your condition has now improved, you could be owed for the period of time you were unwell.
Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes.
