On the profile page, there's an edit box under the heading Activity.

Is it for adding a typical forum 'signature'?

Ok, I discovered how to create a signature as is evident from the below, but the initial Q still stands.

Hi @GettinOlde. The activity section works a bit like a social media feed. The text box is where you can, in effect, update your 'status'.

@Adrian_Scope Thanks. Also, is it possible to send private messages as can be done in most public forums?

    Hi @GettinOlde.

Yes, you can send private messages once you've reached 25 points (you currently have 78). You can send them by clicking the icon to the right of the globe icon on the right hand side of your screen, or clicking here and clicking 'New message'.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Ah, so I was correct in my assumption. I sent this to @Scope_Panel_Manager but never got a reply.

Is this a private message? If it is, it is not immediately obvious how to send one

The Scope Panel isn’t regularly online I’m afraid. If you’d like to test them to see how it works feel free to send me a message and I’ll send one back.

The 'Get Notifications' tab should let you sign up to receive notifications of announcements we send out for the community. Interesting that you say yours is just disappearing. I'll look into it.

Hi Adrian,  it doesn't work for me using either Firefox or Chrome browsers and I don't see anything similar when using my mobile.
