Hello everyone, my son (CP since birth) has 3 years old. We have currently a 360° car seat Maxi Cosy, which is super helpful. You just need to turn the seat, facing you and put your child in. Convenient especially when your child is enable to sit/crawl/stand/walk. But this car seat is for less than 18kg. Do you have any recommendations, advices, ideas, brands for a car seat for more than 18kg that is easy for us, parents, to use on a daily basis? Thanks

Hi @cmas01
Good to meet you and a very warm welcome to the community.
There are some car seats that are recommended by Living Made Easy I have also found the Lettas car seat
I will also include some car seat information from the Research Institute For Disabled Consumers
I'm also going to tag in my colleague @Kate_Scope who may be able to advise you from a parents point of view.

Hi @cmas01 , My daughter has cerebral palsy and this was the car seat we had for her, until she was using a wheelchair and then needed an adapted car- the seat had the swivel mechanism also.
It was really expensive and I couldn't afford one, so the local OT let me know of charities that provided seating for use in cars- mine came from the local fire service... I am wondering if your OT could help advise you or know of any grants available.

@Kate_Scope @Richard_Scope Thank you very much for your help. I have an appointment with our OT next week so I am going to ask them. Yes indeed it's really expensive! That's crazy. Thank you also for Living Made Easy website, I didn't know it.
