Housing benefit effected by pip??

in PIP, DLA, and AA
Hi all... im a total newbie and my head is scrambled... 
I am currently on income related esa and get full housing and council tax benefit. I'm freaking out as I have my PIP assesment tmoro and have just had a gut wrenching feeling I'm going to lose my housing and council tax  if i get awarded any PIP... 
Can anyone please advise if this is right..

    Hi,

    PIP isn't means tested and won't affect your housing benefit in a bad way. Infact in some cases claiming PIP is a good thing because it can increase the amount you're entitled to. It also means that your housing benefit won't be affected by non dependent deductions if you're awarded the daily living part.

    Good luck with the PIP claim.

    Awe Thank you. I've just left. It wasn't too bad. Had massive panic attack when I first went in bit the lady who done it was amazing
    Fingers crossed I hit the descriptors and she doesn't lie like the esa assessor I had 2 yrs ago ?

    Remember if you want to, you can call them in about a week and request a copy of the assessor's report. Best of luck!
