Pip assessment

Hi all.
Am after some advice please.
I have had my atos pip assessment and am not awaiting the dwp decision.
Do you know if the dwp go by the assessors report please 
Also if i was successful is the pip paid from the date i made the first phone call please.

    Hi,

    Mostly they go with the report, it's rare to go against it. 

    If you are transferring from DLA then there's no backdated money. If it's a review of an existing PIP claim then it's from the date of the decision. If it's a new claim without transferring from DLA then it's from the date you rang to start your claim.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
