Do you have a tattoo? Have you got or would you have a tattoo that represents part of your impairment or journey through disability? You can see a few examples on pinterest.

I see quite a few tattoos to represent a person's impairment or illness and wondered what you guys thought of them?

I was offered a free tattoo, I found someones wallet and handed it back to them after seeing their business card phone number in it.
He was happy because it also had his shop key in with it which is expensive to replace.
But being on warfarin now and bruising easily I couldn't have it done.

Apart from being a hippie, my brother was also a tattooist - he wouldn't let me have one until I was 18 though.

I have a Butterfly tattoo on my wrist which represents my battle and overcoming anorexia. But as years have gone by, it symbolises all that I have been through and endured, I've managed to come out the other side. Last week, a butterfly flew in our living room!

@Sam_Scope. I would love a tattoo of a Phoenix with the words  serenity, courage, determination. However, because i have a startle reflex i wouldn't be able to  have one as i jump easily. Then it probably  wouldn't  look like what it should, as a result! I  have been meaning to get the design on spoke guards, for some time... but haven't yet

    Hi @Ami2301

Brilliant post, about your tattoo and the butterfly.

You are an inspiration to all of us on this community.

Pap-ion is french for butterfly, I think.

    You are this community’s pap-ion.

Because of your sincerity and kindness.

You should go and see a good tattooist and explain your needs, they may be able to help?

Just the one ....got it 50 years ago ...the first time colour was used in a tattoo.
At a time when only sailors and soldiers had tattoo's.....now it seems everyone has tattoo's , ?

Mental health awareness, the story isn’t over yet. I attempted suicide and got this one year on.
