Hello @sam12   How are you?  I do actual fact met them one time in a bar at a night club..

Eddie surrounded by people. Syd down the other end on his own.

Found out did not like each other. Never knew that.

Syd Little was a decorator and it is that he went back to.

All tragic and sad.  Been together since the Seventies.

I have seen Cannon and Ball live a few times far better on stage very funny and the two of them do a lot of stuff.

Bobby has become a born again Christian.

Sings gospel in the shows and it is moving, emotional.

    Worth the ticket.

As Eddie Large did everything impressions, sings and Syd Little did nothing just sing if you can call it that.

    Take care.

I like Morecambe and Wise the problem and struggles they went through to be on TV.

People forget they had been doing Theatre long time before TV.

They were child stars and grown up on the stage.

Worked all over the Country including the legendary Theatres we have. Some gone like The Glasgow Empire a haunt of many a comedian.

Where they met Des O' Connor . Who fainted on the his first entrance.  He first started out as a comedian then turned singer later on.

People think they hated Des O'Connor actual fact they were mates.

Stories Des O' Connor tells . I seen him on tour very funny and lots of tales of showbiz.

Talks about Buddy Holly.  He used to host the Shows that Buddy Holly did over here. Around the country and also hosted shows with Sir Cliff Richard as well.  His first tours.

Talking of comedy duos. Does any one remember Hope and Keen?

Hope and Keen did a lot of singing and jokes and stories.  If I can recall think I saw them at Butlins must have been Eighties or early.

All those comedy acts .  Les Dennis Dustin Gee. Sad to lose Dustin Gee talented performer.

Saw them with Russ Abbot Madhouse on the stage at The London Palladium .

Miss a Saturday show like that .

Hello @vikingqueen   Thanks for mentioning them are my personal favourites.

I think it is the writers.  Everyone who was a comedy writer wrote for them.

    Fan of Ronnie Barker.

    Take care.

Farrah Fawcett was lovely.......watched a film of her`s the other day `Extremities`.....it`s violent but hard hitting and you have to give her  a `whoop...go get him girl!`

Larry Grayson...`shut that door...look at the dust in here`

Hello @vikingqueen   Did you know the Two Ronnie's employed a lot of the best writers in the business.

Barry Cryer, who worked with every one from Frankie Howard to Kenny Everett.

John Sullivan who wrote Fools and Horses plus lots of others .

David Renwick who wrote One Foot In the Grave.

Then Gerald Wiley who is Ronnie Barker himself.  Under an alias.

The story goes he started sending these comedy sketches in under this name of Gerald Wiley.  So many of the ones he wrote including Four Candles. Were a hit except one or two so they the producers decided to set up a meeting to discuss this.

Because no one knew who he was.

At a restaurant.  Every one turned up all the writers and the producers and The Two Ronnie's arrived.

Where is this Gerald Wiley he has not turned up and then Ronnie Barker announced well it is me.

Interesting enough Ronnie Barker set up a business in Antiques and Collectibles in his local town.

The script for Four Candles turned up at Antique Roadshow.

    Went to auction.

    Take care.

I like the comedians of the old days.  Such a shame as they passed on. In my opinion nothing can replace them.

I find most Nights on TV nothing ever on and the lack of good programmes and value is decreasing.

In my time having to go to holiday camps and seen these old time comedians, some the end of their career.

Can hold an audience in rapture.

One of the things about holiday camps was the meeting of these comedians after any show they did.

Could have been more polite and pleasant.

What shocked me todays talent it is all about the money.  If you want me to do that how much.

A lot of the old-time comedians came from music halls and theatre never appeared or thought of finding fame on TV.

Radio was the media and if they made TV so be it. As the early career of Morecambe and Wise proved.

As Eric till his dying day kept a newspaper cutting of the worst review.

There were some who never made TV if they did often too late spent a lot of time on the stage felt more comfortable.

    We should celebrate their achievements.
