Hi @gailstyles
There can be all sorts of reasons for people feeling tired. Maybe the blood test will throw something up but in the meanwhile has anything changed of late for her eg is she doing less [feeling low can lead to doing less which can in fact lead to increased tiredness, as can sleeping too much], has her daily routine changed, has she experienced a significant life event ie bereavement or loss, change of job if working, change in a relationship or wanting to have one if she's single, moved out etc.
I ask because our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are very much linked in a sort of triangle and what we are experiencing can obviously manifest itself in all sorts of symptoms including tiredness.
If the blood tests come back clear she might benefit from some counselling, perhaps CBT [cognitive behavioural therapy] which looks at how her thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interacting with each other with the possible outcome of increased tiredness. CBT can help her to break the cycle and hopefully alleviate the symptom. Her GP can refer her for CBT if this turns out to be appropriate.
I hope that helps and that you can both get to the bottom of it.
Best wishes.

Hello @gailstyles and welcome to the community.
Has your daughter had her blood test yet? Unfortunately, we're not medical experts so it's always best checking with her doctor or any specialists she's involved with. I do agree with EmmaB though, has anything else changed in her routine or personal life that may be contributing to the tiredness?0 -
Hi @gailstyles
Fatigue and tiredness can be common for people living with Cerebral Palsy but it very important that other medical or emotional factors are considered and discounted first.
Underlying illness, diet changes or times of emotional stress can all have an effect on energy levels. Women living with CP are also more prone to anaemia and fatigue during the menstrual cycle.
A blood test is a good starting point. Please stay in contact and let us know how you and your daughter get on.
