I am sure I have aspergers or autism and have been tested years ago by the NHS service who thought I didn't have it but my husband and mum who have both worked with mental illness and autistic individuals think I do have it. Where else do you turn to for assessment or help?

Good afternoon @Kami24. You can ask for a referral from your GP - different medical practices have different processes. If not luck there, I would contact the National Autistic Society (NAS). Here is the link:

Good luck

Hi @kami24, it's good they've taken your concerns into consideration and are referring you again. How are you feeling about it all?Community Manager

I feel angry at the moment but that's daily and usual mood change
-
I'm sorry you are feeling angry, is this about the assessment? Or is there anything else we could help you with?Scope
-
No not about assessments. I feel lonely and like I am like no one else in the country or world so therefore they cant understand me perhaps only my dad
-
I imagine it can feel really isolating @kami24. Do you feel getting a diagnosis would help you feel less alone, or able to relate more with other people?Community Manager

It is isolating and i think people are talking about me or making fun of me as well, especially when i am alone it gets worse more paranoid and also a man who doesn't work lives beneath me and he coughs alot and i can hear him talking sometimes and i think its about me well it could be im not sure and i hate that makes me feel trapped and unfree with anyone living above or below me i cant stand it. Also someone who lives nearby keeps mentioning the recycling box and i think he is saying about my box even though its none of his business and i always recycle so that's making me really angry and annoyed at the moment

Hi @kami24.
It doesn't sound like your living situation is particularly good for your mental health. Have you looked into the possibility of moving?
I live in a flat myself and you can't help but be more aware of your neighbours, their lives and their conversations. This doesn't mean they're talking about you, or that they're judging you though.
How are you getting on today? Any word on your assessment date?Community Manager

Its sunny today so a bit more positive, I feel a bit angry though. I have moved 4 times in 3 years so have to wait til Christmas time at least really and the old man who owns this flat is a very nice man old gentleman so shame about the weird people who live nearby but i will move if it bothers me too much or ask the council for help if i can do (with eviction note) as the man is a nasty person by sounds of it and one below smokes cannabis can smell it the loser cant stand him
-
Havent met him in person but I cant really as my issues and i am not meeting the nasty one or i will argue and argue with him til he caves in
-
Hi @kami24, it sounds like it would be really stressful to live in the flat with things like this happening around you. I am glad to hear that the sun has made you a little more positive though.
Have you spoken to anyone about the people who live around you?

Im okay for now i try to go to my mum or dads as much as possible and out otherwise i get paranoid
