I had a stroke in May and have other Health problems.
I claimed PIP on 17th June. Sent back my form in July. Had f2f at home on 27th August with a nurse and had a txt message 2 days later to say it was with DWP.
I phoned twice for my assessment but it wasn't posted out so phoned again this morning and asked for it to be sent out and how long claim would take for claim to process.
Was told award letter was in post, a 3 week payment would go into bank on Monday, backdated to August and that monthly payments would then start.
I was awarded enhanced for both Care and Mobility until 2022.
I am so relieved as I had to give my car up due to not working and although I cant drive my Partner will be able to drive me.
Hopefully now claims are being processed quicker!!

Hi @elle_t, that's excellent news! Quite shocking they still hadn't sent the assessment report, I remember when you first requested it, but I'm so glad it's a positive outcome anyway.Community Manager
