My social media feeds are filled with comments about how today is unlucky and it got me wondering how many people are superstitious.
Did you know the fear over Friday 13th is so widespread it can be cheaper to travel by plane on this date?
So, do you worry if a black cat crosses your path or refuse to open an umbrella inside? And will you be avoiding going under any ladders today?

I am sort of superstitious but I think people worry too much. I will not be walking under any ladders today just in case!

I don't walk under ladders anyway, knowing my luck I'd either end up with paint accidentally dropped on me or be clumsy enough to knock the ladder over!
I'm not superstitious...but I have lots of ridiculous OCD compulsions so do understand the thinking behind 'if I don't do this, this could happen'.
My Dad is superstitious, when I was younger we went to look at a larger house due to the imminent arrival of a sibling...very nice house, but he wouldn't buy it for no other reason than because it was number 13! -
That's my thinking with ladders too @OverlyAnxious! It's not a superstition. It's based on how accident-prone I am!

I do believe in the black cat thing partly. What other superstitions have you heard of?

Nah, how could I be...my hubby was born on Fri 13th and look who he got! How lucky were we to find each other!x

I didn't used to be superstitious at all, but then my son was born on Friday the 13th and he's a right little troublemaker. So I might be changing my mind.Community Manager
