Hello!

If you are a parent/carer of a child with hemiplegia aged 3-10 years, we need your help to improve a website we have developed called Fun 'n' Games by taking part in our short 10 minute survey:

This survey has been designed to study how the Fun ‘n’ Games website is being used by families of children with hemiplegia.
We need your help to find out:
  • If the website and the play suggestions/instructions are helpful to families like your own.
  • How we can improve the website to suit your needs as a parent/carer.
  • If you have seen any clinical benefit in your child through use of the game suggestions/ play instructions.
If you are not already aware of this website, we still very much value your feedback and have created a shortened version of questions within this survey which will capture your 'first-look' thoughts and opinions of the website. Please visit the website through the following link: Fun ‘n’ Games.

About Fun 'n' Games

The Fun ‘n’ Games website is for children with hemiplegia. It contains instructions for games and toys that can be used to practise movement aiming to improve the use of two hands together.
Each set of instructions found on the website was designed specifically to encourage the use of the affected hand and arm. These instructions were developed as part of a trial to improve hand and arm function in children with hemiplegia, aged 3-10 years.

The trial findings are published and available open access to read:

Kirkpatrick, E., Pearse, J., James, P. and Basu, A. (2016), Effect of parent-delivered action observation therapy on upper limb function in unilateral cerebral palsy: a randomized controlled trial. Dev Med Child Neurol, 58: 1049–1056.

The questionnaire open throughout September and October. For further information regarding this survey prior to your involvement please feel free to contact us using the details provided below.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Best,

Ceit
