Someone trying to control forum opinions by flagging as spam any bad DWP experiences
if it is Scope Mod team then they need to read the news and see UN reports into the callousness of DWP.
If you have found the DWP to be kind warm and making sure you got every last penny, your the lucky one.
Myself and others have experienced a different side to the DWP and Suffered through the choices and decisions made on our behalf.

There are many threads on the PIP/DLA/ESA forum about bad experiences and good ones too re DWP.
-
Well said.
Its crossed my mind that the DWP infiltrate sites/forums like these anyway to keep tabs on what people are doing/saying. -

I went months without a penny and MP keeping me informed of their efforts and lack of progress, eventually switched back on only for change of MP and promptly thrown to wolves.
So for the nay sayers I must have been an Oscar winning child actor to get a childhood autism diagnosis in the 1980’s
Direct payments while housebound dragged to a sham assessment with horrified independent advocate, switched off and on again.
Then my condition had resolved itself allegedly Autism has a cure and it is called Austerity- they didn’t care I was housebound and refused to re assess using below minimum wage figures for calculating.
So you see I find it offensive when someone try’s to justify it for anything other than horrific abuse and whitewash it as a non issue.
Sadly those seeking to shape opinions don’t have the decency or desire to engage with a different opinion.

@WhileIBreathIHope there are hundreds and hundreds of posts where members are talking about their negative experiences of the DWP, disability and benefits on the online community.
We get lots of reports about all manner of different posts and we look at each one on it's merit.
We only remove posts or part of posts if they break our rules.

Hi @WhileIBreathIHope
Can I bring some prospective to your concerns.
I have been involved in this community for nearly two years.
At no time have I detected any underlying factors, that there is any kind of support for the competence or otherwise of the DWP.
By way of example, I have posted my example of undergoing a PIP assessment. In which I state, the assessor was kind and professional.
What I have also reported, that it took over 12 months, in applying for PIP, to actual receiving an award.
No where in public life would this be deemed acceptable.
I also note that you make mention of Direct Payments, again I can concur with you on that one. I have the scars and anger about these payments. But this is not the DWP, but your local authority that put you through this purgatory.
If I could please try and explain about the Flag and Spam buttons.
I am not tech savvy mind.
The Flag button lets you report unwanted or in bad taste post, like dating sites.
I use the Flag button if I spot something. It is the mods who decide what happens next.
Hitting the Spam button, just tags a post, it does not remove it.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes

Hello @WhileIBreathIHope Thank you for your post. I am aware of your situations and you difficulties . Problems with the DWP.
You must understand that you are not alone with any of this. I must stress this.
I know we have talked I have tried to give you a lot of support, guidance and advice. It is your choice to use this but I must point out.
I am only trying to give you some reassurance and lots of confidence, self esteem to move forward.
I can and do have been through the same experiences many times and still will.
In fact I did explain to you my own personal situation on another post. You must also remember one important thing may I just say.
I was told this by floating support worker because I had the story similar to yours . Every where I went talking about it. So much so that I was told that I had to stop.
My support told me if I continued to talk about this. Then this will effect my mental health they will stop my treatment and remove me because this is harming me mentally .
Something they actually do in Charities you can not talk about your issues if there causing others distress and pain. Towards others who may be the same.
As a Community Champion and a Christian I am concerned the same. Have flagged up member spoken to SCOPE Team how can we help this member .
One of the other thing I do send a private message to any member I think needs a lot of support. Any warm words and any thing else.
Do not have to but I do.
I also may I add one other point am here a lot sometimes stay up late being supportive, kind and understanding to those who are lonely.
This is what we do as Community Champions . I am not the only one many of my fellow Champs do this.
I often get to bed late. This morning just after midnight because concerned, anxious for a member.
I agree with my Team Member @Sam_Scope what she has explained to you.
As a Community Champion on this forum you must realise this is an open forum. Members can and do have concerns care for any of the community.
Who may be suffering, may be using language that is strong and not necessary.
Also my role as a Community Champion I have to be Policing the forum and website that is one our roles.
I have to see and sometimes it is necessary to consider using flags to report any misuse or not suitable posts.
Believe me I have seen them all and it continues every day.
I have also been targeted need to say this by Community members who attitude was to cause me hurt and harm. Plus my friends and fellow Community Champions who received the same from some members.
Many times. Insults and being nasty, undercurrents of threats and insensitive comments do not make a forum.
Had one member anytime I posted. Used the post I had written to make fun of what I had said. Had to flag that up no need. Included photos. Not relevant .
Often a serious problem humour laughter the best medicine if others like your humour.
I am on here because I need to be supportive of members have the time and energy.
Kindness, compassionate and have empathy, sensitivity and may I add spend a lot of my time researching for community members who come on got a problem or an issue.
Many have come on with serious illness or conditions we never heard of. I use the web to search new information. Any thing to give them a lifeline.
Always a association or society for every thing. We do have an organisational list we use but some of the Community Champions have specialist fields and expertise.
Using their own health issues add disability plus knowledge to give the time and advice to those who need it.
You may have seen my good self talking about Mental health, addiction. Another one my wellbeing and lots of my other aspects my recipes.
Please if I can once again just say look at our Community Guide and House Rules.
Please can I just one further aspect of the forum is listening to those who have been through a lot.
Who can be there offer a lot of guidence, support, advice. If I did not listen to my self over Addiction be dead by now.
If it was not the Doctors and Rehab and my faith would be as I mentioned not here.
Something to think about.
Please take care.

i've been in the system now for 20 years, so with 5 assessments, and 2 failed, i can see if from all sides, some just don't wish to see the same negative posts each and every day and wish to move on, others, well like me for instance, want what's best for me, plain and simple, the money matter less to me, as i'm in the process of finding a job and getting away from the system for good hopefully, but are also taking down the nurse who did me, as the nursing and midwifery council seems so far to agree with my findings and so did the assessment center, while not awarding me any points, they did agree so had done it wrong and in the end, she will be either sent back to training, or dismissed from nursing, had the same 7 to 8 years ago with a Doctor and did the same to him, so either way, good luck

It seems to be getting a bit toxic on both sides. Yes someone has been flagging anti-DWP posts as spam, but I have seen a post defending the DWP which has also been flagged as spam.
I think people on both sides need to calm down and remember it’s just an internet message board where people are trying to help each other. -
Having posted like others and been flagged it’s annoying, but when I and others post what they believe or know to be the truth and others read and get upset, offended flag the post because they don’t agree with or the truth hurts. Sometimes I will post from my own or from personal experience and from conversations with other benefits claimants and observing others using disabled parking and the blue badge benefit. I don’t as everyone else does, intend to offend or cause worry or concerns but we all have and enjoy the freedom of speech or as in this case to post our views or opinions which should not be flagged just because we don’t like or agree with the post or poster.

i expect everything I say and do online will be scrutinised by the powers that be in government and whatever website I am using. .remember the so-called snoopers charter?" when we lost much of our privacy in the war on terror. I'm sure the gov view forums as free public opinion surveys that they can access clandestinely. all kinds of organisations do it and they pose as members to try and steer discussions. have you ever been in a live chat on youtube? they are so obvious it's easy to tell if they are fake profiles because they use the wrong language and have little knowledge about the discussion subject. they often just troll to hijack the discussion. I havent been here long enough to know if they are active here too. could all be from a foreign bot farm sowing discord on the internet. the rabbit hole goes deep.

Hello every one please can I point out one aspects of forums if you all do not mind.
I have in the past subscribed to forums that deal with addiction, drugs and alcohol.
Mainly in the States their rules, regulations are very much stricter than ours.
Due to the sensitivity of the community. Any comments or reference not suitable be told.
You will be removed and the costs of removal you will have to pay.
Just a thought.

As a community champion here on scope i'd like to remind you that we do have an ignore feature that works well. If you don't like the comments made by other members then you can add them to your ignore list, then you won't see their comments.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
-
Excellent just found the ignore function.

Personally I doubt very much that the DWP have the staff with enough time to monitor every or any forum on the internet, I'm a member of at least half a dozen, I also believe that more people with an axe to grind take to the net than those who have no problems, and yes I agree the system is far from perfect. It is though one of the great benefits of the internet that forums like this now exist where people can get help and advice from others who have had simlar problems and long may that continue.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

Yes, you put it so much better than my earlier post. I suspect somebody on a forum like this is a DWP employee. Say no more. Except we have nothing to hide, and, if we **** them off they surely must expect that.
I am keeping this post very clean and calm! Fight the good fight everybody. -
Interesting post and comments.
Personally speaking, I`ve had to force myself to calm down and not read certain posts from time to time.
It does me no good at all, to be up in arms all the time.
Calm is better.......if possible...watch this space...awaiting my result from PIP claim.....
Best wishes and harmony to all xxx
