Hi I have just recieved my pip award letter where they scored me 0 points on both I can not believe how the report is full of lies!!
Just wanted to ask as I am going for a M.R and would It be useful to get my medical notes and attach them with my appeal form
Or what other evidence could I attach as I have 2 slipped discs and all i have is my medicines and my physio noted i do not know what else i can do

Hi,PIP isn't awarded based on a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptors. When requesting the MR i'd advise you to put this in writing stating where you think you should have scored those points and your reasons why. Adding a couple of real life examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you.You should avoid mentioning any lies/contradictions that may have been told in the report because DWP/Tribunal won't be interested in any of those. Any complaints about the report should be sent to the health assessment providers.Sending all your medical records isn't going to help your claim because a lot of medical records contain information that isn't relevant and they won't read piles of evidence. You're better off looking through your medical records and seeing if there's anything in there that's relevant to send.Do be aware that most MR decisions remain the same so you'll very likely have to take it to Tribunal/ Appearing in person will give you the best chance of a decision in your favour, the only downside is waiting times are huge across most of the country and lots are waiting a year and more for a hearing date. This link will help you have a better understanding of the PIP descriptors and what they mean. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
