Hi @shull and welcome
Nice to meet you, make yourself at home.
I also have an adult son with autism and he lives in supported housing.
Does your son manage to get out much?
We're having problems persuading our son to go out.
He just loves staying in playing computer games!!
What's weather like where you are?
It's freezing here!0 -

@shull
If you scroll to "All groups"
Then scroll right down the list to "Autism and Aspergers"
Then the thread called "Adult children with autism"
More parents with exactly the same problem as us.
You're very welcome to join in, shull
Maybe someone will have some tips for us.
Sorry, I can't do links. I really must try and learn!
Don't worry if you don't want to go there, that's ok.
Just thought, the more the merrier.
ps: we had all that heavy rain a few days ago but lovely sunshine today.1 -
thank you

Hi again @shull
I think I'm quite unusual for a woman, just don't like shopping at all!!
Hubby likes this fact because it means we don't spend too much money.
Bit disappointed today because we had planned on the four of us (myself, daughter, hubby and son) going to the local "escape rooms" tomorrow.
Son has had to drop out, his anxiety just too bad.
Such a shame because he managed to go once before and really enjoyed it.
Ah well, what can you do?
But, like you said, it's so hard to just sit back.
The only consolation I have is that he says he has never been so happy as he is now, in his own little flat in supported living.
But same as your son, gaming day and night!0 -
