I have pulmonary hypertension and heart disease. Can I claim any disability allowance?

@Glyn1945, hello and welcome, if you are referring to the the benefit PIP which is awarded on your abilities to cope manage your daily living activities in a safe and repeatability and timely manner in relation to the PIP descriptors. PIP is not awarded on a diagnosis or disability or the medication you are prescribed.

Hi,As wilko said, PIP is awarded based on how your conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptors, not a diagnosis.See links for information.

I just thought I would check that the name you use on the Community is not an indication of your age?
If it is, and you are over State Pension age then you may need to look at claiming a benefit called Attendance Allowance.
If you are under pension age please ignore me and look at PIP!Joanne
