I seen a mental health dr at kings college hospital today because I begged my respiratory doctor to help me if I hadn't I wouldn't have seen the phyciatrist today however to my disappointment due to budget cuts it could take along time to get help and to find out that suicide and serious self harm is at an all time high it makes me feel that I will probably end up doing something before I see anyone I am struggling with not only a manic low from my bipolar but also seasonal effective disorder  I feel alone and despaired and worthless and feel like I dont matter and my head and heart are broken as I have no way of accessing help it seems i will have to do something before they will help me

I will ask my friend @thespiceman, who has a great understanding of mental health issues, to see if he can help you.

@lisa1986 - You're not alone certainly, & you are doing so well. My friend thespiceman & I are both hoping we can support you; live the life your friends were unable to make for them. Take one step at a time; look at the contact details you asked for. If these don't help, look at the other links thespiceman gave. We'll both be here over the Christmas period.

Hi there. I'm brand new in this community. I'd just like to say thankyou to @lisa1986 and thespiceman. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get any support from anyone. I keep being fobbed off. Anyway, what I came on here to say is that this first  thread I've looked at and you've already helped with those links. Many thanks :-)

Hi @lisa1986 and welcome to the community. I'm sorry to read how you're struggling to access help. We're going to send you an email to see if we can find you some support more local to you, but in the meantime, if you're struggling with suicidal thoughts or the urge to self-harm, please give Samaritans a call (116 123) or (if you'd prefer to text) you can get in touch with Shout by texting SHOUT to 85258.

Of course if you think you might be in immediate danger, please call 999 or go to your local hospital.

Good afternoon @gentlefern. I know how frustrating it can be to be denied the support you need. Can I ask if you've tried making a self-referral?
