Is it worth putting in a mandatory reconsideration plz or do they not normally take any notice. I'm not sure what to.
Thanks

    Hi,

Only you can decide whether to request the MR but without going through this process first you'll be unable to take it to Tribunal. Most MR decisions remain the same and only 15% of those decisions change. Most people take it to Tribunal and waiting times for hearings is huge across most of the country and lots of people are waiting as long as 1 year for a hearing date. Appearing in person will be your best chance of a decision in your favour.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

You need to put the MR in writing stating where you think you should have scored those points and your reasons why. Adding a couple of real life examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor tat applies to you. You have 1 month from the date of the decision.

    Happy New Year.

So I just write a letter and send off or do I need to tell them I'm doing it?

You don't need to tell them because the letter will be the MR request. Or you can download and print this form and send that.

If you mean write the letter based on your worst day then this is not great advice, sorry. You should never base filling our forms or writing letters for a PIP claim based on your worst day.

Thankyou. They actually rang me today and told me. Which I thought was unusual
