Some of you may recall I`ve been trying a TOTO. It is a sleep aid to guard against pressure.
It goes under the mattress and lifts the left side about 30%, then the right.

It did me no good at all...caused more pain.

It forced my already painful heels, bum cheeks and lower back more pressure.

So it`s going back!

update...

just realised that the TOTO has a solid piece of wood running down the middle. No wonder I`ve still got severe back pain...hubby took it off the bed yesterday and we`re awaiting collection.

Beware if you`re offered one of these torture instruments!

Hi Pollyanna,

I have recently being researching new mattresses.
They don't come cheap, but as I spend a lot of time in bed so I want to treat myself to something that will help in any way at all.
Up to now No1 on my wish list is the OTTO hybrid.
Should take the plunge and purchase one I will let you know what it's like.

I might start another thread about bed in a box mattresses.
Do you think that would beneficial to folk ?

Hi, had a look at the mattress you mention.
Like me, you spend a lot of time in bed. Due to this I have to have a pressure care mattress.
Does the OTTO have that? I couldn't tell from the diagram and description.

Buying mattresses can be a nightmare...a costly mistake isn't what you want.

Dear Pollyanna, to answer your question? I really don't know.
There are numerious ones on the market.
I do know that the majority give you a 100 nights risk free trial, so if you can afford the initial outlay then you are covered to get you money back ??
