I'm not sure how long it takes for assessments to be re looked at, but I'm glad to hear that they did a hearing about it, unfortunately sometimes it takes a few weeks to get any results back but I do hope that you can get the answers that your looking for, in the meantime have you thought of going to the doctors for advice on the way you feel? Or you could try a close friend or family member?
I do hope things get better for you @kingratty always remember that you are never alone0 -
Hi and welcome,I'm one of the community champions here on scope and i'm here to help and advise others.I'm sorry to hear you've been waiting so long. DWP have requested the Statement of reasons and record of proceedings. Unfortunately, when these are requested there's no timescales how long it takes for it to be sent by the Judge. This is because they are done when they Judge has time to do them and this can take a few months sometimes. It's never a quick process. Unfortunately, there's nothing at all you can in the meantime but wait. Once they been sent DWP will then have 1 month to appeal the decision but it's rare they appeal it, although it can happen. If you do feel suicidal then please do contact the samaritans on 116 123, https://www.samaritans.org/

Hi @kingratty - Welcome to the community from me too. I'm very sorry about how this is affecting you. Saying not to worry is easier said than done. Do you have any support for your mental health right now?

Hi @kingratty and a very warm welcome to the community. I'm sorry to hear it has had such a big impact on your mental health. Is your GP aware you have been feeling like this?
While we can signpost you to resources from Mind about tackling thoughts of suicide, if you're having these thoughts it's really important you speak to someone qualified to support you.
You could call Samaritans on 116 123, or got in touch with the crisis text service Shout, which you can access by texting SHOUT to 85258.
As a pan-disability charity it's fair to say that our strengths lie more in the daily lives of disabled people, but if it would help we would be more than willing to try and find you some local support. I'm going to email you with some more information, but if this is something you'd be interested in, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us on community@scope.org.uk
In the meantime, if you feel like you might be in immediate danger, please call 999 or go to your local hospital.
