Hi I'm a lesbian, but didn't come out until I was 40...kept it hidden for years. I understand it is hard, but saying that I think its much much more accepted these days as compared to when I was younger. When I did finally come out, my life was much better, I only wish I had the courage to do this when I was younger.3

I agree with @MaxB - I came out quite a long time ago at quite a young age, and attitudes are definitely much better now than at that time. Relationships were much harder then too, probably because teenagers are mostly interested in physical attractiveness whereas the people I am meeting now have a rather more mature outlook.
