Hey There, I haven’t actually posted anything myself on the forum yet but have been responding to a few things! I applied for PIP a few months ago and been really anxious for a decision and hoping it works in my Favour, I know we had the Christmas Period and all that, and having the backlog hasn’t helped my anxiety. I have also had a rough few months as well with a Work change, which has helped even though its lower pay I’m happy. and also from Loosing a couple of Family Members and a Friend from Mental Health. I know this post was a mixed bag but felt I wanted to put my story out there too!

@Tommyb92 Welcome and thanks for sharing a bit about yourself in your first post. I hope your PIP claim is successful, did you request a copy of your report after your assessment as this will give an indication of likely outcome, it wont give the final decision but will show the points you scored and the decision makers usually go with the report. Im sorry to hear you have had a rough few months and hope things are getting brighter for you. Let us know if there is anything you want support with

    Hi @Tommyb92
Sorry to hear about your anxious wait. Although this is normal for there to be long wait times as they do have so many cases to deal with although that doesn't help your anxiety.
I hope that you get awarded it and that you havent got much longer to wait
    Best wishes
    Jade

    Hi @Tommyb92

When you receive the report look for the dots next to the activities/descriptors and use the PIP descriptors online to see what score may have been recommended. They usually go with the report, it’s rare to go against it. You’ll still need to wait for the decision and there’s no timescales. Hopefully it won’t be too long for this.

Good luck and do let us know the outcome.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
