Hi there,
I have a couple of questions which I am hoping someone might be able to help with. Firstly, my daughter is 3 and has cerebral palsy level 5, she is now too big to be placed on baby changing stations but is still in nappies and unable to independently sit/stand do anything to help, does anyone know how/have any tips on how when we go out I can change her safely & with dignity. We often avoid going out because I have such trouble trying to change her and I refuse to lie her down on a dirty toilet floor to do so.

Secondly, does anyone know of any hairdressers who are used to or specialise in hair dressing for disabled children as I don’t really know where to look. General searches haven’t brought anything up and I wondered if anyone knows of anyone in the Greater Manchester area who they would recommend.

Thank you for your time

Helen (mum to the lovely Flora)

Changing Places are a bigger, more spacious version of a disabled toilet. This provide an adult size changing bed/table, ceiling hoist, plenty of room to manoeuvre and some provide a self-standing hoist. Some areas currently do not have them yet, but they are rapidly growing throughout the country, you can read more about them here :)

Hi @cordypants, how are you doing?

I have had a quick look for advice and can't seem to find anything at the moment. If no one else is able to help then I will have another look. :)
