Coronavirus and mobility aid

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about keeping the handles of mobility devices virus free? Whilst we're all scrubbing our hands every 30 seconds, presumably as soon as soon as we hold our crutch, walker or wheelchair, any virus lurking on the surfaces will be transferred to our hands. Is a wipe with a sanitizer, when you can find any, effective, or would a bit of a scrub with soap and water work? I'd be interested in what other people think.

I think a wipe with vinegar ?

Hi and welcome, something probably a lot of us haven't thought about. Maybe a wipe down with bleach based cleaner or as you said sanitiser wipes.
Thank you for sharing with us

Don't forget it's a virus, not bacteria, so anti-bacterial sprays, wipes etc won't kill it. Of course, the physical action of wiping may kill or at least remove it so it's better than nothing.
Ideally, something that kills viruses such as Dettol spray would be best.

It's tricky isn't it? Needs to be something you can carry and whip out for a quick wipe whilst you're out and about, which is why sanitizer wipes are ideal. Wonder how long viruses remain potent on such surfaces?

We need to be vigilant but not fanatical about this....

Hi i’mone of the community champions here. As others have said in this thread I would go with something that has Detol in it such as the spray.
