Hi @LINDZA - Welcome to the community, & thank you for joining. Many of us have chronic pain unfortunately, &, for some, what distracts you may help. Whilst it's also an idea to see your GP/consultant to see what they may be able to offer, you might try gentle exercise, relaxation exercises concentrating on your breathing such as this: https://www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/resources/patient-information/therapies/abdominal-breathing.pdf & anything you enjoy such as reading, crafting, listening to music, or watching a 'feel good' film. There's also visualisations & mindfulness. It's finding what works for you, as we're all different.

I still work, but have worked in a small family business for years and they are very good, its a office environment so not to much moving. I am swimming as the dr told me that don't have to "swim" just walk in the water which I try and do, I also have fibromyalgia, which I have had for years, along with having a heart bypass and being diabetic its a lot to be getting on with lol. However to be totally honest I had the heart bypass three years ago and I would have two of them a year rather than this back issue. I can not get up steps, walk, it really has impacted on my social life now, I literally go work and home my family help with shopping and bigger choirs at home now but it is really getting me down now.

Hi @LINDZA, sorry to hear you are in a lot of pain. Have you ever tried a TENS machine? I've just got one and have found it really helpful.
