Hi
can anyone help ?
My pip was stopped last year .After filled in my review form and because I didn’t complete my face to face assessment they stopped it
I completed my mandatory reconsideration and after waiting over 8 weeks pip backdated my money but I’m having to do another medical assessment
The question i want to ask is will I still be paid until the second face to face assessment is carried out and until the final decision is made by pip
Thanks

    HI and welcome,

Providing your current award doesn't end before a decision is made then yes it will continue until a decision's been made.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

It did stop last year due to not completing the face to face assessment
But pip have paid back my money from when it stopped but apparently I’ve got to have another medical
so will i still get it until my date of the medical and again till they reach another decision

The reason it stopped last year was because you didn't attend the assessment. When does your award end? If no decision's been made by that date then your PIP will stop because there won't be an award in place for you to continue to receive payment.

    I didn’t say I didn’t attend the medical
my award wasn’t supposed to be stopped until January this year but when I attended the medical and because I got very anxious the assessment wasn’t completed so they stopped my pip
But they have informed me that I need to attend another face to face assessment but in the meantime they have paid back my pip so my question is will my pip carry on until the final decision is made
ive also received all my premiums from esa

Sorry,  i mistook what you previously said. I'd advise you to ring DWP to ask because usually when a decision hasn't been made by the end date the PIP usually stops.

Because the DWP queried the backdated payment from pip they messaged me to ring them and explained that they’re was a payment going in my bank and then I had answer a few questions and then my esa is being paid back in my bank ( ie premiums )
sorry if it sounds confusing it’s just it’s making me anxious with not knowing any answers to my query

Usually when a PIP award ends, there's no award in place for your payments to continue. They may have paid you the backdated money up until your award ended  but as we are not DWP you will need to ring them to ask, if your award will continue until a decision's been made. Usually it doesn't.

The only way you'll know for sure is to ring DWP to ask. Sorry i can't help you any further.
