Hi, was wondering if any could give me some advice on completing a PIP form, I suffer from various health problems .
My PIP comes to an end in June 2020 and I've been advised by the DWP that I need to re-apply because my award was only short term 3 years, I was expecting just a review form.
My previous experience was horrendous, lies by Atos and it eventually went to a tribunal and I won the case but even looking at this form know fills me with horror.
Unfortunately because of the Covid 19 issues I can't get any help from the local Age Uk or CAB any suggestion.
Best Wishes,
Neil.

Hello and welcome, you should treat a review as a new application in any case.
Take time completing the form do a bit each day.
For each descriptor give examples of what happens when you try and complete the task giving as much detail as possible about how your disability affects your day to day living.
Provide any medical evidence they have not already got eg current prescription list, specialist letters, they don't want appointment letters and old evidence, rather statements about how your condition affects you rather than diagnosis.
Also could be helpful to keep a daily diary of what you do each day and send this along with the forms.
Try and understand what each of the descriptors mean before you complete the form, and also review your last award and see where you scored points
I had a review last year and gave this amount of detail and ended up just having a phone call tyo clarify few points and not having to have a f2f assessment/
Good luck and keep us updated

Hi, Thank you for your reply.
This isn't a review, the DWP have insisted that its had to be a new claim and sent out a P2 form for completion.
They have said I will need to go for a F2F Assesment as well or a telephone considering the current Covid 19 issues.

When your award runs to the end you have to make a new claim and go thro all the stages again make sure you apply in plenty of time otherwise if its not in place before your award ends payments will stop

Due to the covid 19 problems there will be no f2f for the foreseeable future so make sure you fill out the application as best you can and send any evidence you have, the claims will be done either/or paper based/telephone interviews.
Good luck2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡 -

Good luck
Either that and make a negative decision and let the claimant go to appeal - case finished?
