Hello guys I have just joined. I am looking for some advice on CP, I suffer from spastic dieplegia CP and walk with a scissor gait. I am now 38 and have been in excellent health, very recently I have had minor problems with slurred speech and the over production of saliva, I have never had this before. Is this age related to CP?. Thanks guys

Hi @Tommyc38 - Welcome to the community, & thank you for joining. I'm sure you'll get some good advice, but do look around the forum in the meanwhile. There's a section devoted to discussions on CP, which may be of interest.

Hi Am, thank you for that information. It's great to get some support on CP issues as there is little research on adults with CP out there

Hello @Tommyc38 welcome to the community. I’m Emma, one of the Community Champions. I have CP as well. Perhaps you could speak with your GP about your issue I know it’s a tricky time to say the least, but they may be able to offer you advice and support.

Hi @Tommyc38, great to meet you!
I would reiterate the advice from @emmarenshaw, speak with your G.P. if at all possible. The changes related to ageing and CP are generally physical, not neurological.
    Keep in touch!

Hi Richard thank you for this. It's reassuring to know that the changes are not generally neurological.
