Private pension affect on benefits?

hi everyone I get esa support group ,pip, disable top ups my question is I am due my private pension but don't wanna effect benefits have took a taxfree sum of £11600 not had money yet but just found out you can only have £6000 in bank how will this affect me or do I just take it out thanks knobby

Hi @knobby - Welcome to the community. PIP isn't affected by any savings, as it's not means tested. As regards your ESA, there's some information here about reporting a change in your circumstances: https://www.gov.uk/report-benefits-change-circumstances

Hi @knobby, do you know how much ESA you currently receive? It may give us some indication as to whether it's contribution-based on income-related.
If you have an old award letter from ESA it may have the information on there, or they'd be able to tell you if you gave them a call.
