Its not unusual even in normal times to wait over a year for a tribunal hearing, no harm sending new info to the tribunal although I'm not 100% sure that they will take it into account.

@tara2019 just fight for it. so many people give up when they are legally entitled to it because of the knock back. the DWP don’t expect people to go to the tribunal they think people will just give up. believe it or not the DWP have contacted claimants before the tribunal date to award them something so that’s a possibility! as if you was to win they would have to back date all your money. the tribunal rate it high, but ( not everyone ) gets it. so be mindful.

@tara2019 just provide as much information as possible. as little evidence you will probably not be awarded it. the more the better! so what do you think you should of got then? for care and mobility? have you checked the descriptors as you can see where you should of been awarded. ?

@tara2019 wow it sounds like you have got loads of evidence. best of luck. sounds like you will end up being awarded it. but obviously I can’t promise that. the PIP can call you before it and change there mind as they have done that to a few I no. best of luck !

Hi @tara2019 -  Just a word of caution; errors in your assessment do not gain you an award.....showing where you should gain points, & why, may. Sending 'relevant evidence' is great. Sometimes less is more!
It is untrue that with little evidence you will probably not be awarded, as mentioned above.
The tribunal will just want to know exactly how your disabilities affect your daily life & mobility. Give a couple of examples (for each activity that applied) of the difficulty you faced, showing why you had problems, when they occurred, what was the consequence of them, could you do the activity safely, did you need an aid to accomplish the activity, etc.
Take your time answering questions; anything you're unsure about, ask for the question to be repeated, or put another way, & be honest.
I hope it isn't much longer until your tribunal, & look forward to hearing from you. :)

@tara2019 i'm a little confused, are you appealing because your condition has got worse since you applied? If so i'm not sure thats how it works, because an appeal can only be for how it was, so to speak, perhaps what you would have been better doing is accepting the award as offered and then at a later date putting in a change of circumstance?
If i've got it wrong sorry but its a bit confusing.

No I'm appealing my nov 2018 pip put appeal in April 2019 my conditions have worsened dec 2019 this is why I'm anxious to get this tribunal done if I don't get the award from nov18 which all my evidence is before that date and just after I'm ready to put in new claim n send in more evidence which I've been gathering together from Jan 2019 until now . in Nov 18 I could walk up to 20 metres with aid now I can't walk a metre without severe pain ive got arthritis in my spine neck knees and both sciatic nerves are trapped I live with chronic pain and nerve pain.also my depression an anxiety has been severe since 2018 and made worse by been dismissed on health grounds and disability has not help either
