How do I sue them?

I was emotionally and mentally abused for 20 years but recently it has come to light that my stepdaughter was the abuser. Now that my mental health is stable I think it is time to sue my ex wife and stepdaughter for mental abuse and claim all the money they took. But I have no idea how to do this. HELP PLEASE
