Backdated LCWRA

Morning, I was forced to apply for disability benefit last June on the basis I was claiming sick notes from my doctor. I had been claiming them for about 6 months before but never had thought to claim for disability allowance as I didn't think I would qualify and to be honest I knew the process would make my condition worse.
To cut a long story short I was accepted for LCWRA in March, so it was a long process. CAB called me to tell me I had been accepted as they helped me with my claim. She said I would get backdated payments from August but 7 weeks on I have had 2 LCWRA payments but nothing backdated at all. Is this a normal time to wait? I understand U/C is very busy at the moment but should they withhold backdated disability payments because of this?
Thanks

Hi @bethjayne. You may need to give them a call (or pop a note on your journal under 'payment') and ask them to look at this. Sadly I've seen quite a few times that they need some prompting to calculate and issue back-pay.Community Manager
