Aspergers and the Lockdown.

I am feeling all kinds of things right now due to the lockdown. But perhaps the biggest thing I feel is frustrated with my Day to day life. I admit the things I did before lockdown, like go for meals spend time with family and friends I took for granted in the past. But i realise just how much i need routine in my life since the lockdown. I try to entertain my self ny doing things that interest me like music watching DVD's and talking to my friends on the phone. But of late I have become moody and sensitive. Which I assume is to do with my AS. But I am not sure how long I can keep it together. Dose any one have any suggestions to help me.

Hi @AvsNutWhalley.
I'm glad you found your way to us. I think this lockdown is affecting everyone in unexpected ways. I know my patience is running pretty thin at the moment and I'm struggling at times to enjoy even the things I still can do.
Have you had a look at creating new routines? I know so many people have been putting temporary measures in place for a situation that has become increasingly more permanent and trying to develop a routine that becomes the 'new normal' for you might be the way to go.0 -
Hi @AvsNutWhalley
I guess lock down would effect your AS a great deal, and I'm sorry to hear that your findings things very hard!0 -
Hi guys thanks for the replies. Yes I have tried new routines but I get easy confused and sometimes my concentration is what it should always should be.0

Hi @AvsNutWhalley Welcome to the community I think you are feeling just like many of us are at this difficult time, it sure makes you appreciate what you had before.
I am finding just sitting outside in the garden or going for a little outing on my mobility scooter helps so Im not staring at the same walls.
Also trying out new recipes and also coming on the forum reading other posts.
I hope you try and stay positive and look forward and plan what you will do when klockdown has eased0 -
