Does anyone know why my daughter receives a p60 each year when she's on income related esa which isn't taxable , yet I don't receive one even though I'm on carers allowance?
I will never understand the world of benefits and taxes ?

Hi
A P60 is an annual statement of any earnings and contributions made , does she pay national insurance through her benefits or is it paid for her by DWP.
If so this will be why she gets the P60 and you dont

Hi @starbuck. Is it possible your daughter is on contribution-based ESA with an income-related top up?0

Does anyone else not get a p60 while on carers, and does it matter?0

No, definitely income based. :-)0

Hi Starbuck
Please don't worry about not having a P60! For my sins I worked for the Tax Office. So if you are your daughter's fill time carer and don't go out to work you will get Carer Allowance (which isn't enough) and therefore the DWP know exactly what your income is so a P60 isn't required for you.
However ESA is different because it a sick person can claim but he might recover and return to work. So, he has been claiming benefit and that amount will have to be included in his total income for that Tax Year.
In your daughter's case you said that she has the same amount as a person on ESA and although she might never work, she will still have to have a P60 in line with the people on ESA, that' all.
I hope this helps'. Denise11
