Hi everyone. this post is for a good friend who has his tribunal telephone assessment 3rd June 2020. and wants to no how long does the call last for? Obviously it varies case to case. also what type of questions do they ask? and do they give you the award over the phone or do they say you will receive a letter in the post. If anyone can advice they would be great!

Hi @samfits99 - From reading on this forum, a tribunal phone assessment may be 30, or 120 mins. The average seems to be an hour or so. The length of the call doesn't indicate how successful someone might be (or not). The questions go back to what an individual put on their initial claim form, rather than about the previous assessment they've had. A decision is made after the phone call, & this will be posted.
Just to add, your friend needs to describe how their disability affects their functional ability in activities of daily living, &/mobility. They should try to say exactly how this affects them, giving a couple of examples of the difficulty they had for any applicable activity at the time of their assessment.
Hope this helps your friend. :)
