UC Payment Reduced After Reporting Self Employed Grant

I am really disappointed by Universal because they asked me to enter income from self employed grant for this month's period I received and as you all know the grant is for 3 months yet UC considered the grant as income from this month and reduced my payment.

Hi @NeedHelpASAP - Sorry, but the Self Employment Income Support Scheme is considered as income if you receive UC. There's some info from the government's website to confirm this. Please see: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-a-grant-through-the-coronavirus-covid-19-self-employment-income-support-scheme#howmuchIt's in lieu of being able to trade, so is considered as income. Hopefully, the good news is that this is being extended, so you may be eligible for a final grant in August too. This is again a taxable grant, but only worth 70% of your average monthly trading.

yes i agree but UC considering the 3 month salary into one month period is not really fair because my income last month was zero, and now all of a sudden i have had to report 3 months trading income into a month so my payment went down by a lot
