Hello Scope community
I have another idea of creating a blog for all my poetry
Do you recon people will pay to read my poetry on a blog or would you keep the blog free
I would appreciate to hear what the community think about another idea I have

I don’t know about being paid to read the poetry but isn’t there something whereby you allow adverts on the side bar and you get paid for clicks? Not sure how it all works though sorry.

Income would be generated by ads, I would have thought. The more popular your blog gets, the more money you earn from ads. @Chloe_Scope would definitely have a better insight into the world of blogging than me!

    Hey Globster,

That's a great idea! A way to get people to pay to access certain stuff is through Patreon :) You can also have a free blog, and invite people to support you on Patreon if you wish. Alternatively, you can get money through ads on your blog.

Hope this helps - look forward to reading! :)

    Hi @Globster! Sounds great!

I would recommend blogger or wordpress. Blogger is similar, but wordpress allows you to personalise things more. :)

To answer what @Richard_Scope has said, it is possible to make money on ads but this isn't easy and isn't something I personally do.

You could have a blog with some work, then making the best pieces into e-books so that you can charge for those to be downloaded.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi  @Globster
I have problems with typing. But you can either do it via video or somthing like speech to text software there are lots of good ones.  That can be used on word documents. Provided captions for videos. And used in video conferences.
Even if like me speech is an issue I find it eventualy picks up what you say after a few trys.

You could combine a you tube channel to and make a video with spoken poetry pr written. Video a trip out or photographs and overlay your poetry
You would earn on the ads not alot though.

    Good luck

    Hi @Globster

Dragon simply speaking is one of the oldest. But there are loads most phones and tablets have them built in. There are some more advanced ones. Some for free others can cost quite a bit.

Try Abilty net. They a charity for disabled. Dealing with technology and assistive software.

This is the link to their text to speech reviews.

Hi @Globster, does your macbook pro have a disk drive? Alternatively, there might be an activation code which will mean you can download the programme and just enter in that number.

Please let us know how you get on. :)
